Abstract: |
In order to develop/identify high yieldingfarmers'preferred genotypes for the river basin and low hill environments, three activities namely coordinated varietal trials (CVTs), farmers' field trials (FFTs) and farmers acceptance Tests (FATs) were carried out. Based on the overall results, genotypes NR 1769-6-3-2-2-3, NR 1769-2-4, NR 1558 and NR 1190 for rainfed environments were found superior to local and standard checks in grain yield, agronomic and quality traits. These varieties have widely been accepted by the farmers. On-farm seed multiplication of these elite lines has been carried out to help wider adoption and.dissemination of these improved lines in target environments. |
