Yellow sarson (Brassica compestrisvar.yellowsarson) is one of the oilseedcropsof Nepal. Field experiment namely observation nursery(OBN), and Initial evaluation trial (IET) were carried out atOilseed Research Program(ORP) and coordinated varietal trial(CVT) was conductedat OilseedResearch ProgramNawalpur,Regional gricultureResearch Stations (RARS)ParwanipurandNepalgunj in 1996/97 and 1997/98 to evaluate the performance of sarson lines. In observationnursery, LSS-S4-2,LSS-S4-Iand Acc#5735 produced BOOkg, 600kg, and427kg seed/ha respectively.In lET, ICS-9110 produced highest seed yield of 762kg/ha.Incoordinated varietal trial(CVT) S-4producedhighest seed yield of 72lkg/ha. |
