Abstract: |
A field experiment was carried out during the summer season of 2010 and 2011 to identify the high yielding fine and aromatic rice variety at RARS Parwanipur, Bara. The experiment was conducted in RCB design having three replications. During 2010 and 2011, twenty entries were tested in Coordinated Varietal Trial. Among the tested entries the top grain yield was produced by SPR 86035-52-5-1-1(2100 kg ha"1 ) followed by IR 48725-B-B-99-3 (1882 kg ha" 1 ) in 2010 while Katami produced top grain yield (4001 kg ha" 1 ) followed by IR78539-32-1-2-1 (3922 kg ha" 1 ) in 2011. In Coordinated Farmers Field Trial, six genotypes were evaluated. IR74052-165-3-2 produced the top grain yield (3040 kg ha"1 ) followed by IR77539-80-2-2-2 (2500 kg ha"1 ) during 2010 and IR74052-165-3-2 produced top grain yield (3550 kg ha" 1 ) followed by IET16775 (3031 kg ha" 1 ) in 2011. |
