The effect of sheath inoculation for banded leaf and shea~h. blight disease was not evident however, the effect of ear inoculation was .distinct. ·Genotypes has been categorized into three groups viz. susceptible to· . ·highly susceptible,· · moderately susceptible and mod~rately resistant on the basis of ear infection.
