Abstract: |
Twenty Jamunapari (50% cross) and 2 1ocal Khari male kids of 120 days old with an average live weightof 10.2 kg were selected for experiment. Twenty four kids were blocked in to two groups ( 12 kids per group) andwere allocated experimental diets at random in each group. 17ze experimental diet were: I. Stall Feeding: concentrate mixture + green forage ad lib + vetlic, and II. Open Grazing: Concentrate Mixture + Grazing (7 to 8 houn perday) + green grass (as supplements) + Vetlic. Monthly live weight of the animals were measured and recorded.There was no significant differences in the daily live weight gain between the diets. However, the animals in the stall fed system had 17.2% higher daily live weight gain than of the animals kept in the open grazing system. |
