Abstract: |
Host plant resistance is an economical means of controlling maize diseases. Maize variety Manakamana-1, through cycles of selection for Northern leaf· blight Helminthosporium turcicum, was found a reliable source material for Helminthosporium turcicum. Five cycles of recurrent selection based on Sl progeny evaluation has shown positive changes in the mean and distribution of population for turcicum leaf blight resistance |
