Abstract: |
This trial was conducted on 18 German Angora rabbit at Dhulikhel of Kavre District for six month period. The rabbits were divided in to three equal groups and given three different types of feed in equal quantity. The feeds used in the trial were pelleted feed containing 18% C.P and 2500 K.Cal ME, pelleted feed containing 16% C.P and 2600 K. Cal ME and mash feed containing about 15 % CP. This trial was conducted to see the performance of three different types of rabbit feed in body weight gain, wool production and quality of wool. The overall mean body wt. gain during the trial period were 2.61,2.44 and 1.77 kg. The overall mean production of wool during the trial period were 255,242 and 192.50 gram, the overall mean length of wool during the trial period were 2. 75,2.54 and 2.38 inch in feeding pelleted feed containing 18% C.P, Pelleted feed containing 16% C.P and mash feed containing about 15% C.P respectively.
