An experiment 0n green wood grajti11g to produce healthy grape (Vitis venifera L) saplings
was accomplished at Regional Agricultural Research Station, Khajura, Nepalgmrj in three
consecutive years (2001, 2002 and 2003). Three differellf cultivars of grapes; Himrod, Kyoho
a11d Stube11 were grafted in second fortnight of April on root stock cultivar selection
Oppemzeim Number Four (S04). Highest number of success was recorded in cultivar Himrod
(87 %) in all three years followed by Stuben (72 %) and Kyolw (56 %). Healthy grape
saplings could be produced by employing greetz wood grafting method in order to improve the
yield and the quality of grape.
