Abstract: |
Rasuwa district is located at an elevation of 600-7254 mas/ and has climatic diversity from river basin to High Mountain. There are many apple orchards through out the district. Quantitative and qualitative shortage of feed and forage for migratory and sedentary livestock during winter month has been impeding livestock production. Production of exotic temperate pasture species under apple orchard will support the winter feed and forage for livestock The experiment was conducted under apple orchard condition at an elevation of 1960 mas[ Syaphry VDC of Rasuwa district. The treatment· were Cocks foot (Dactylis glomerata), White clover (Trifolium repens), Ryegrass (Lolium Pereme), Native grasses and combination. There was significant difference (P<O.OOJ) between different treatment group for DM Production (3. 05±0. 68 tlha) and Rye grass sows least DM production (0. 05±0.45 tlha). |
