Abstract: |
A survey was conducted in three selected study sites and Agriculture Research Station,
Goat (ARS, Goat), Bandipur in Tanahu district for the study of respiratory disease in
goats and its causes in relation to management systems. The data on disease problems in
goats, systems of goat keeping and management conditions etc. were recorded as a
preliminary study. The treatment case record of the District Livestock ..~ ervices Office of
Tanahun and ARS (Goat), Bai1dipur were analysed for idel1tifying the disease problems
in goats. On the bacteriological examination of the nasopharyngeal swabs and lungs
sample, the bacteria isolated were Escherichia coli, Streptococcus sp, Staphyloccocus sp,
Proteus sp, Pasteurella haemolytica and Mycoplasma sp. The existing goat rearing
practices in the villages of Tanahu district might contribute to respiratory diseases. |
