Abstract:	Eight cross bred Murrah male calves of approximately 2 years of age were grouped into_ nvo groups. Animals of one group ·were fed commercial concentrate mixture in addition to mixed green grasses for 135 days. The average body weight gain of concentrate fed animals ·was 389. 0 glday compared to 3-1.0 glday for the group without feeding concentrate. There ·was no significant effect on carcass characteristics ben-veen diet groups. However. the dressing percentage in concentrate fed group was higher than in the group without concentrate {.:/2.1±1.8 l'S 32.9±1.8)
