Fodder is one of the major components of feed for livestock in Nepal. The critical issues
associated with fodder tree ... development was its poor sun,ival and growth because of the
existing unsuitable method of its plantationf Before establishment of trails basic inventory
of site on soil type, vegetation and household economy was done in four districts/ Across
four districts under grassland and shurb land were divided into three altitude belt. A total
area of -1.8 ha (3000 m2 in each site) was covered testing three planting technologies. The
recommended method 50 cubic em pit size-tip soil-250 gm DAP and 150 gm sulphur
given treatme11f produced the highest plant height and more Sliii'ival. With this
intervention more number of fast growing tree could be hal,,ested on the fourth year of
the establishment/ |
